All Faringdon girls train together from 18:15 to 19:00 on Wednesdays.
Training is facilitated by dedicated and experienced coaches who each have their own rugby playing daughters so not only are they fantastic coaches, but they also understand that the girls game is different to the boys (we think it's better but don't tell the boys)
Training is tailored to ensure age grade appropriate drills but also inclusivity for all. It's quite the session, come along and see it for yourself -maybe even join in
What about games?
On Sundays we join up with our partners, Cirencester and Minchinhampton Rugby Clubs. Together we form the Cotswold Lionesses. A 3 club hub which allows all of the girls to play competitive matches as part of a solid team.
The Lionesses alternate training and matches and rotate around the three clubs.
The team play in the Gloucestershire League
Each Lioness age group has its own head coach, as well as an extensive support network.
The opportunities don't stop there as being part of a hub means that our girls can also enter a County Development Pathway, if they wish to apply and they have the choice of counties!
We currently have 2 of our own girls doing just that, with one playing for Gloucestershire and the other for Oxfordshire.
Our girls have the best time, both as an individual Club, and as part of the Lionesses. Come and see!
